This Gate is part of the Channel of Maturation, A Design of Balanced Development, linking the Sacral Center (Gate 42) with the Root Center (Gate 53). Gate 42 is part of the Collective Sensing (Abstract) Circuit with the keynote of sharing.
Gate 42 is the tenacity to stay with a cycle in order to maximize its inherent potential. The abstract's cyclical process generates growth, and balanced development by using humanity's collected experiences to create a foundation for future progress. Each cycle we enter into builds on the lessons learned from the last. When a cycle has run its course we will determine what is needed to bring it to a conclusion. Before we can begin a new cycle the former cycle must be brought to its natural end, or what was left unfinished or incomplete will have to be revisited in the new one. That is especially true in relationships where we can feel stuck or held back by unresolved patterns of behavior that can date back as far as our childhood. We are focused on what it takes energetically to complete a cycle or process, and weak or insufficiently supported beginnings will make us nervous and uncomfortable.
It is important that what we commit to is correct for us, as it is very difficult for us to extract ourselves from something once we have committed to it, such as an unfortunate marriage, for example. By waiting until we are comfortable committing our energy, through our Strategy and Authority, we maximize our own 'satisfaction potential.' Without Gate 53 to provide the initiating spark, we may find that we lack the staying power to complete the process, or feel frustrated trying to start things that never really get going.
