THE ENERGY IN ACTION
Defined in Chart: Individuals with Gate 37 defined in their charts may possess a natural talent for nurturing harmonious relationships. They often value community and familial connections and may excel in roles that require diplomacy and peacemaking.
Sun Transit: When the sun transits through Gate 37, it brings a collective emphasis on the quality of our relationships and the importance of fostering harmony within families and communities. It's a time to focus on strengthening bonds and addressing discord in interpersonal connections.
The high-frequency expression is the energy for creating strong family and tribal bonds through healthy communication and boundaries. This energy treats everyone with respect and as a valuable member of the tribe.
The low-frequency expression is the energy for sacrificing or martyring oneself in order for the tribe or family to stay together. This energy holds in their emotions and projects onto others through cruelness, often to create the boundaries they seek but have not created or maintained.
My personal experience:
I do not have this energy defined in my chart but have felt and experienced its presence. Interestingly enough, several of my clients have this energy defined and their life journeys all share a similar theme.
Human Design Gate 37: Fostering Harmony in Relationships and Community
From the Dynamics of Weakness to the Embrace of Tenderness
This Gate is part of the Channel of Community, A Design of Being a Part Seeking a Whole, linking the Solar Plexus Center (Gate 37) with the Ego Center (Gate 40). Gate 37 is part of the Tribal (Ego) Circuit with the keynote of support.
Gate 37 is the most communal gate in the BodyGraph. When others recognize our power, we can hold both a family and a community together with our warmth, friendliness and nurturing nature. We have an ability to make an emotional connection with others through touch, and an uncommon sensitivity, which senses their accessibility or openness to us. People will want us to be their organization's representative, and to welcome the newcomer or stranger. It is an offer that we might happily agree to if the bargain, or what we receive in return, is sufficient and clearly agreed upon by all parties. Gate 37 is the gate of the mouth so the planning, gathering and preparing of food often play a central role in all our family and community gatherings. In the bargain between Gates 37 and 40, Gate 40 is the willing provider and we are the distributor of its assets and skills. Without Gate 40, we are looking for those who can deliver the resources needed by the community so that we have someone to bargain with, and something to distribute. What we most fear is getting trapped in or having to live up to the traditional Tribal roles.
Gene Key 37: Cultivating Harmonious Relationships through Equality and Tenderness
Transforming Familial Dynamics
“When we look at the world, it doesn’t seem that fair. It doesn’t seem as though we’re equal. Yet the Gene Keys are all about genius. This is where we’re equal. We’re equal to the task we’re given, but only if we don’t cave in.”
– Richard Rudd, 64 Ways
In the Gene Keys, Key 37 is titled Family Alchemy. It encompasses the journey from the Shadow of Weakness to the Gift of Equality and the Siddhi of Tenderness. This key delves into the dynamics of family and community relationships, highlighting the potential for creating equitable and nurturing connections.
Shadow - Weakness:
- The Shadow of Weakness in Gene Key 37 reflects imbalances within family and community relationships. It often manifests as dependency, control, or inequality, leading to disharmony and emotional discomfort. This shadow may arise from traditional roles, expectations, or unresolved emotional patterns that undermine the strength and unity of relationships.
- Personal Application: Acknowledge areas where the shadow of weakness impacts your relationships. Challenge traditional dynamics or dependencies that create imbalance. Strive for emotional autonomy and encourage the same in others, fostering healthier and more balanced interactions within your familial and community circles.
Gift - Equality:
- The Gift of Equality is about recognizing and honoring the intrinsic value of each individual within the family or community. It involves shifting from hierarchical or dependent relationships to those based on mutual respect and equal contribution. Equality here means embracing diverse perspectives and valuing each person’s unique role and input.
- Personal Application: Cultivate equality in your relationships by actively promoting fairness and mutual respect. Encourage open dialogue and value each person's contributions, regardless of their role or status. Practice seeing and treating family and community members as equals, recognizing that this approach fosters harmony and strengthens relational bonds.
Siddhi - Tenderness:
- The Siddhi of Tenderness represents a profound state of empathy and compassionate connection. In this state, relationships are characterized by deep emotional understanding, kindness, and a gentle, caring nature. Tenderness transcends mere affection, embodying a soulful connection that recognizes the inherent unity and love within all relationships.
- Personal Application: Aspire to embody the quality of tenderness in your interactions. Let your relationships be guided by deep empathy, compassion, and a heartfelt desire to connect with others at a soul level. Recognize that tenderness has the power to heal, unify, and elevate the nature of all familial and communal interactions.
Conclusion
Gene Key 37 invites us on a transformative journey from the shadows of relational weakness and imbalance, through the harmonizing power of equality, to the elevated state of tenderness. This path encourages the reimagining of traditional family and community dynamics, leading to relationships that are balanced, respectful, and deeply nurturing.
